Coming up this month – exciting plans in the woods! We will be out and about in Friston Forest doing all sorts of activities including making ‘green jewellery’ from things we find and enjoying a hot chocolate around a camp fire! Sounds good to me!

Tues 28th – Seaford History Tour
We are looking forward to our next meeting, a tour around our lovely town with local historian Kevin Gordon. Kevin is a retired police officer who has a lifelong interest in Sussex History. He is the author of Eastbourne and Seaford History books and writes a weekly historic column in the Sussex Express newspaper. We will let you know the meeting point soon. Guests welcome as always! If the weather misbehaves we will get a unique and personal talk at the hall. We hope to end the eve having a drink or two in the town! Either way it should be a great evening! Hope to see you there! Tues 24th February – Easter Paper Crafts
Things to bring if you can please:
Paper or card at least A4 size in whatever pattern or colour you fancy, cutting mat, craft knife, scissors, glue (Pritt stick should do), ruler to use as a cutting guide, pencil, ribbon, any other Easter embellishments you fancy, hot glue gun.
Don’t worry if you only have the basics, we’ll have some spares of most things, but bring along some card you like if you can (paper is ok too but card would be sturdier of course).
Tues 27th January – Vocal Workshop
A message from Julie who will be hosting the evening!
Hi, my name is Julie and I’m a singing teacher and performer based in Seaford. I am the owner of Julie’s Art of Noise, and I also run children’s singing groups and entertain in local care homes.
I will be going though basic singing techniques and some fun exercises too, for example:
• Breathing (using your diaphragm)
• Pitch work
• Resonating
• Vocal cord work
• Tongue twisters
We will also work on a few rounds followed by a group sing along (or solos if anyone is brave enough) at the end.
I’m looking forward to meeting you all on the 27th!
