1 – a washed tin that has been filled with water and frozen overnight – don’t overfill or freeze for longer than one night as they tend to split as they expand.

2 – an old towel to support the tin as it gets bashed and also to soak up the water as it starts to defrost.

3 – a hammer if you have one.

We will bring along some nails to bash the tins and paints and brushes to decorate the finished lanterns as well as some wire for hanging them.
