Well, the year is flying by and we haven’t managed to keep up with our website and all our events, will update it soon, in the meanwhile, please see our Facebook events page for all the info you’ll need. Or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org 🙂
We’ll be giving everyone a chance to have a go with some polymer clay (AKA Fimo) and some air drying clay. Our AGM should also be this month hopefully, but after that we’ll get stuck into the clay making! More details to follow… PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ON THE 18th NOT THE 25th!
Another interesting and entertaining local history tour with Kevin Gordon, this time at Tidemills. We learnt how to kidnap the bones of a saint (minus one hand), how to navigate a sea-plane with bombs in your pockets and a live pigeon tucked down your shirt, as well as how to mill flour using the power of the tide and some pretty anti-social shift working. History lessons at school were never this good!
We are very excited to tell you we will be visiting Seaford Tennis Club for a delicious taster session! We will be meeting at the club and should have the chance to have a go, look around the club and have a drink at the bar. We need to know numbers for this and if you can bring your own racquet so please email us or post on our Facebook page.
This month we’ll be creating some delicious smelling pampering treats.
We will provide the majority of materials needed, if you have the following, please bring them along:
Two bowls for mixing up in and a couple of mixing spoons – metal tablespoons or similar
A scoop – 50ml approx – for example, a vanish powder scoop or large measuring spoon
If you have any hard/plastic type moulds you can bring them along, the silicon ones are probably too soft and flexible for the purpose of bath bombs but anything which you can press the mixture into should work!
Any essential oils you might have that you like to use.
A box/tub to take your bath bombs home in (we will have some boxes too)
This month we’ll be creating some delicious spooky treats! We’ll be decorating little Halloween themed cakes and trying some flood-filled biscuit icing.
Things to bring if you have them – clean rolling pin, small sharp knife, small palette knife, small cake board or plate and a box to take the cake home.
Continuing with our outdoor theme our meeting this month is at Seaford Golf Club on Firle Road. This time we really need to know numbers so please post or email us to confirm if you can come – we’d rather you said yes and then couldn’t make it, than no and turned up in the end as the club needs to organise things for us they need maximum numbers! We may need to guess a set number otherwise and then it will be on a first come first served basis, so get your names in asap!
